Custom paint work on motorcycles
"Very often a motorbike is an expression of which someone is; an expansion of on their own, a whole lot more so than a motor vehicle, " claims bespoke paintwork professional Joe Black. And he should know, having already been entrusted using customisation of an impressive assortment of extremely special bikes over his 19-year-long career – including those of Tom Cruise and Rod Stewart, in addition to numerous limited version runs for Harley-Davidson, Triumph and BMW, and a mesmerising unique Triumph Street Twin, filled with cosmic paintwork and psychedelic logo design, for the new dilemma of Another Man.
Ebony's passion for attracting and appreciation for paintwork and murals started as a schoolboy in Lancashire, however it wasn't until adulthood, while being employed as a panel beater, fixing crash-damaged automobiles, that he discovered himself returning to his youth passion. "Nowadays a panel beater doesn't perform some repair work, in the days of the past we performed everything and I became very good at colour coordinating. With motorcycles, the colours are very fancy and hard to formulate because through the manufacturer's point of view, having a bike that appears fantastic and unique when you look at the showroom helps to offer it, but there is little consideration for the repairability of colours."
