Designers Motorcycle Helmets

Most of you understand that Darth Vader's helmet was, unlike a motorcycle helmet, composed of two pieces. Design researches written about the subject indicated which he refused to put on a chin strap, necessitating a two-piece design; had been their helmet and facemask only 1 piece, the orifice would need to be larger in order to get it on, and a chin strap would be expected to take-up the slack once set up.
